Analysis of a Ferrite-Dielectric Circular Waveguide

A two-layered ferrite-dielectric circular waveguide, propagating normal TE01 mode is examined. The case of dielectric permittivity smaller than that of the ferrite is considered. It is found that the differential phase shift produced is larger than the one, provided by the ferrite-filled guide. Accordingly, the two-layered structures are more appropriate for phaser operation if their parameters are properly specified.
