Iterative Method of Circular Ferrite-Dielectric Waveguide Analysis: Application to Phase Shifting Computation

A method is elaborated to study the phase curves for normal TE01 mode of a circular waveguide with azimuthally magnetized ferrite core and dielectric tube of permittivity higher than that of the ferrite. It consists in repeated numerical solution of the structure's characteristic equation, followed by calculation of the phase constant for varying parameters. At any core to guide radius ratio the differential phase shift grows, if the dielectric permittivity and ferrite anisotropy are increased.
