Slow-Wave Propagation in a Circular Ferrite Waveguide

Using the descriptive properties of the real Kummer confluent hypergeometric functions as wave functions for propagation in an azimuthally magnetized circular ferrite waveguide, the possibility for transmission of slow TE0n modes along the latter is shown in case of negative magnetization of the medium. Two areas of existence of these waves are found, depending on degree of ferrite anisotropy. The phase curves of the structure for slow TE01 mode are computed and discussed.
