On Several New Applications of Coulomb Wave Functions

 The real and complex Coulomb wave functions FL(n,p) and GL(n,p) are considered as wave functions for propagation of fast and slow TE0n and TM0n modes in circular guides with azimuthally magnetized ferrite or solid-plasma. Two algorithms for numerical evaluation of regular Coulomb function FL(n,p) and its zeros are developed for L=+0.5 and L=-0.5, n - real, p - real positive, corresponding to fast waves. Some advantages of FL(n,p) in comparison to confluent hypergeomentric functions are pointed.
