 The chapter deals with the normal TE0n mode propagation in a circular waveguide filled with azimuthally magnetized ferrite. A detailed analysis of the exact wave functions - the complex Kummer and Tricomi confluent hypergeometric functions - is performed, followed by numerical solution of the characteristic equation, providing computation of the waveguide's phase curves. The structure turns out to be a simple device geometry for phasers, cutoff switches and isolators, operating in the TE01 mode.
