Study of Rotationally Symmetric TE Modes in a Circular Gyrotropic Waveguide

An analysis is presented of azimuthally magnetized ferrite-loaded circular waveguide under rotationally symmetric TE mode excitation, based on Whittaker confluent hypergeometric functions (CHFs) formalism. The nonreciprocal phase shifting and cutoff experienced by TE0n mode are explored. Emphasis is placed on their use in designing microwave ferrite cotrol components.
