On the Whittaker Form of Solution of Eigenvalue Problem in a Circular Gyrotropic Waveguide

An exact solution of the boundary-value problem in an azimuthally magnetized circular ferrite waveguide is presented, based on the first Whittaker function formalism. Tables of the latter and its imaginary zeros are compiled, providing computation of the eigenvalue spectrum and phase characteristics of the structure. Graphs show the loci curves and the real and imaginary parts of the function. The results are useful in designing microwave ferrite control components.
