On Certain Exact Wave Functions for Propagation Along a Circular Gyrotropic Waveguide

The Kummer and Whittaker first confluent hypergeometric function of complex parameters and variable have been studied as exact wave functions for propagation in a circular waveguide, containing azimuthally magnetized ferrite under TE0n modes excitation. Two lemmas on the properties of the arguments of functions are proved. Graphs illustrate the behaviour of the real and imaginary parts and the moduli and arguments of both functions.
