A Generalized Design Technique for Remanent Ferrite Cut-off Switch

A bistatble remanent ferrite switch, using TE01 mode propagation along an azimuthally magnetized ferrite-loaded circular guide, is proposed. The device utilizes the nonreciprocal characteristics of the structure and the cut-off state, associated with them. Important factors for the operation of the switch are clarified. Based on graphically presented dimensionless characteristics, a new technique is described for practical design of the device.
