Propagation in a Circular Waveguide Partially Filled with Azimuthally Magnetized Ferrite

The phase characteristics of a circular waveguide, containing azimuthally magnetized ferrite rod and dielectric toroid under normal TE01 mode excitation are computed, using the approach of boundary-value analysis. Explored and interpreted is the dependence of differential phase shift of the structure on ferrite anisotropy. Criteria, providing best performance of the configuration as microwave nonreciprocal phaser are derived.
