  The love for God is the biggest Christian virtue. It is an object of different writings in Christian antiquity. In his Sermon on the Divine and holy love blessed Theodoret of Cyrus († c. 457 AD) seek to the reason for the supernatural deeds of the biblical heroes and Christian monks – this is the love for God. It wounds sweetly and provokes yearning for God, feeds and warms the loving man. It introduces into a new, eternal world. To the feeling of such love now, in this world is called every Christian; and the perfecting in the love is a process that continue throughout eternity.
