 This article presents of the training on „Geography of countries” model in the new curriculum on Geography and economics - IX–th grade, compulsory preparation. A conceptual and content-analysis were made of the place, structure and content, new concepts, areas of competence, competencies as expected results, intersubject and interdisciplinary- subject relations, activities for acquiring key competences, etc. The comparative aspects of the curricula are presented - between acting curriculum in the 2017/2018 academic year and the new curriculum in force from 2018/2019.
