The present paper offers a discussion on the preparation of the cadets in the classes on leadership training that aim at developing their readiness to act in extreme situations. More precisely, the paper is focused on the comparison between the opportunities supplied by the old and new academic programs of leadership training for employing the reflexive approach. The reflexive approach is of a particular importance since it provides for the development and self-perfection of the leadership capability and competence for sustaining and improving the psychological readiness of the platoon to deal with the stress in extreme situations.
