2D to 3D conversion algorithms

According to the depth cues on which the algorithms reply, the algorithms are classified into the following categories: binocular disparity, motion, defocus, focus, silhouette, atmosphere scattering, shading, linear perspective, patterned texture, symmetric patterns, occlusion (curvature, simple transform) and statistical patterns. The article describes and analyzes algorithm that use a single depth cue “statistical patterns”.
