Агаларева, Маринела (2013) STATE AND DYNAMICS OF EROSION-ACCUMULATIVE PROCESSES ALONG THE BULGARIAN DANUBE RIVERSIDE Доклади на БАН, Comptes rendus de l'Academie bulgare des Sciences Tome 66, No 8, 2013, p. 1159-1166, ISSN 1310–1331 (Print), ISSN 2367–5535 (Online)

Based on the analysis of quantitative data on average multi-annual water quantities, quantities of oating solid deposits, turbidity and anthropogenic pressure (construction of dams in the bed of the main river, micro-dams within tributary valleys, mining of alluvial sediments and water-supply of industry and population), the report assesses the global climate uctuations and their impact on state, type and dynamics of erosional and accumulative processes in the Moesian segment of the Danube catchment basin. It is stated that it is imperative to perform regular interdisciplinary inte- grated social-economic assessment of the trans-European segment of the Moe- sian Danube waterway corridor in relation to the planning, management and sustainable development of the Lower Danube River basin and the adjacent catchment.
