Балканская фразеология - в поисках исследовательского подхода. - In: Balkanismen heute. Balkanologie. Beiträge zur Sprach- und Kulturwissenschaft. Hrsg. T. Kahl, M. Metzeltin, H. Schaller. Wien: Münster. LIT Verlag, 2012, Bd. 3, pp. 171-185. - ISBN 978-3-643-50388-6.
The present paper is an attempt to find an answer to the general question in the research of the Balkan phraseological corpus, namely: which is the best approach in revealing the nature of the phraseologism and hence in the development of the Balkan comparative research in this field. The idea suggested for discussion is that the traditional methods for systematization and interpreting of the phraseologisms can not reveal their real cognitive and communicative values of units, which transfer a particular kind of cultural knowledge, accumulated during the process of their function in the language. Through them it is difficult to find the similarities and the differences between the languages of the Balkan linguistic union. The research model applicable for Balkan phraseology studies is to be found on the basis of The Cognitive Theory of Metaphor (Lakoff, Johnson 1980, 1999; Lakoff 1987, 1990, 1993; Lakoff, Turner 1989, etc.) with the suggested in it tools for analysis and its development in The Conventional Figurative Language Theory (Dobrovol’skij, Piirainen 2005; Баранов, Добровольский 2009, etc.).
